RACHEL WILLIAMS
Artist Rachel Williams is based in Oakville, Ontario.
Inspired by early mornings by the lake in Oakville and time by the coast in her home country of Ireland, she creates evocative abstracted paintings.
Drawing on memories of place and personal experiences; the fleeting moments the light meets the water or land, her paintings represent the ethereal atmosphere of landscapes remembered, imagined, and felt.
’The natural landscapes of my past, my present and perhaps my future somehow make their way into each painting. They are not necessarily places I have been to, but are more imagined far-away places in my mind’.
