How long will it take?

All host gardens are south of Lakeshore, and between Navy Street and Allan Street. To visit all artist locations and take in the art you will need at least 2 hours. The distance covered is approx 2km.

What activities are happening? Can I do all of them?

You will need the FULL 3 HOURS to take part and enjoy everything and see all artists. Plan your afternoon, park early (details below). Here are some of the things you can do to add to your immersive, creative afternoon:

• Hanging In Harmony - interactive painting activity at Erchless Estate (Oakville Museum grounds), all work is part of the community art installation

• Letterpress Fun - Visit our two letterpress experts Dale @lanterncozies and Liana and Nick @howardironworksmuseum to work a historic letterpress machine and take home your treasure

• Stamp Hunt - details will be on the reverse of your event day map - collect our 2026 stamps and redeem for a collectable limited edition Toonie Stamp

• Oakville Historical Society and Oakville Museum - Visit the property on Erchless Estate and see a display by local cartoonist Steve Nease. Thomas House and the Old Post Office are open for the day in Lakeside Park. See website for more information about their work

Is art for sale at the event?

During the event NO sales are permitted - the event is non-transactional and free to attend. Conversations, connections and enjoyment without the thought of ‘sales’ have made our event a success every year. This is the consistent feedback we receive.

Do artists sell their work?

Many artists do sell their work (but not all) and they can provide you with details and contact information so you can get in touch with them to purchase work after the event.

Where can I get a printed map?

On the day of the event we will have volunteers handing out maps. In advance of the event we would encourage you to use our online map shown above. Use the link here for a version you can download and print for PAGE 1 and PAGE 2

What is the Stamp Hunt?

This is a fun, interactive way to engage with some old-school collecting suitable for all ages ! Find the stamp locations on the map, hand-stamp the icon into the correct place on your map and you can redeem* with Jemma at @tooniestamps for an exclusive Toonie Stamp collectible designed for Art In My Garden. Is there a route to follow?

There’s no specific route, just wander and enjoy yourself. Start at any of the host locations shown on the map. Don’t forget the location at 75 Allan St, 3 artists are there !

Can I drive to see the art?

This is a walking experience, so please do not drive.

Where can I park?

There is restricted parking in Old Oakville so we strongly recommend parking in an authorized car park and taking the time to walk. The Town of Oakville website has details of all parking on the Town Of Oakville live feed : HERE

*What if it rains?

Our rain date is Sunday September 13, 2026. 12 - 3 pm and if unlucky twice, we will see you Saturday Sept 19th, 2026 12-3pm. Our up to date information is always on Instagram and here on the website. We make the rain call by 9pm the night prior to the event date.

And if it rains all three days? Then we will see you in September 2027!
