In 2025, we launched a vibrant, community‑built installation as part of Art in My Garden—a new way to include the wider community both before and during the event.
‘Hanging in Harmony’ was a visual expression of perspectives—woven with belonging, rooted in community. Together, we hang in harmony, reflecting the spirit of Art In My Garden.
We asked the community to reflect on the simple prompt “What is the art in your garden?” and complete a 10 × 10 inch canvas square. We then created a collective installation hanging together, in harmony. Whether painted or sewn, collage or markers & crayons all of the beautiful artistic creations were included.
The end result was woven tapestries of beautiful art through breathtaking gardens, each square as unique as the artist that brought it to life.
What started as art in our gardens grew into something deeper—connections, conversations, and a community in full bloom.

We need volunteers! Every year our volunteers help us in August by hand delivering our event flyers to homes across Oakville. It’s a great opportunity for students to pick up community hours or for local residents to help out on the day.
