RACHEL WILLIAMS
Known for her atmospheric work, Rachel aims to capture ephemeral moments in nature with her representation of light, colour and movement. Her work is created through layers, mark-making and texture using acrylics and a variety of brushstrokes and unconventional tools at each stage of the process.
Her use of spontaneous gestural movements coupled with blended, more gentle phases as her work evolves creates a distinct style of atmospheric work which is imagined, but inspired by the landscapes of her past and present.
She draws inspiration from the movement and mood of our land and seascapes and our innate connections with them - her pieces seek to connect you with a sense of energy that might spark a thought feeling or a conversation.
