RHODRI KASPERBAUER
In 1984, I first exhibited photomontage artwork in the United Kingdom, with subsequent solo exhibitions at The Everyman Cinema and Soho Theatre in London. Video art was also award-winning in Japan. In 1988, emigrating to Canada, work was featured at Oakville Town Hall (individual exhibition and as part of Black History Month) and Oakville Galleries. Further solo shows featured at McMaster Hospital and Broadway Cinema in Hamilton, along with contributing to The National Gallery of Canada. Twenty years teaching in Asia followed, along with participation in street art. In 2019, our family moved back to Oakville with work exhibited at The Art Gallery of Ontario (collage) and various USA locations (video). My artwork strives to propose making connections in our lives, both individually and collectively. The images are about learning from the past, understanding the present and offering possible choices for what may be a better future world. Thank-you!
