RACHEL WILLIAMS
Irish born, now living in Canada, Rachel's abstract work is inspired and influenced by the outdoors, the energy of the sea and the lake waters near her home in Ontario.
“I am captivated by how light changes the energy and colours across our landscapes. I come from a place near the sea, hills and mountains with big skies that move and change. These days I live by the water.
The natural landscapes of my past, my present and perhaps my future somehow make their way into each painting.
I intuitively build layers using varied tools and techniques, the canvas is worked on in many directions throughout each phase. I embrace the drips and the unexpected turns which guide the next steps.”
