APPLICATION GUIDELINES

Artists who live in Oakville (i.e you’re a resident here) or who make art in Oakville have priority. We genuinely would love to include everyone but we have a limited number of spaces, dependent on the hosts each year. We do not anticipate more than 75 artist spaces in 2026.

2026 APPLICATION DATES

  • Returning artists (participated in previous years) can apply between April 10th and April 17th, 2026.

    • 30 spaces will be allocated to returning artists

  • Open applications (returning and new artists) will be accepted starting April 20, 2026.

All participating artists will receive confirmation of a place via email by April 30.

APPLICATIONS

  • The link for applications is sent to every email address on our Artist List.

  • Prior year artists have early registration access for a limited period and for a limited number of spaces. Open registration for all other artists on the Artist List follows this period.

  • The application form ‘Artist Agreement’ states “ 1. I am an artist and I currently live in, or create art/ work as an artist Oakville, Ontario.” so if you fit that brief, please apply.

  • We allocate places to artists who live in Oakville before artists who ‘create art'/work as artists’ in Oakville.

APPLICATION FEES

No payment is required until your place is confirmed. Two payment options are offered $75 registration for the event or $175 registration + artist booster opportunities (details on form)

ART ON DISPLAY & NO SALES PERMITTED

  • Art on show must be original visual art, that can be hung and created/originated by the artist.

  • No accessories, greeting cards, prints, jewellery or crafted items are permitted.

  • The event is strictly non-commercial: this means no prices on show and no sales are permitted at the event. The event celebrates creativity, encourages participation alongside our local artists and encourages conversation, connection, cultural exchange as we foster a sense of community via the arts.

  • All artists sign a waiver to agree to a number of terms to ensure the event is fair for all and that the founding ethos of the event is followed.
