Traci Maxwell captures an abstract, haunting world of graffiti and and images from the cities she has lived and traveled. The artist’s distinct acrylic painting techniques lend a variety of effects to her art using acrylics with brush, palette knife, spray paint, photos, street graffiti. Maxwell’s canvases are abstract, dreamy expanses of experiences in life and memories. These abstract paintings evoke an emotional response in viewers. Maxwell’s work draws abstract images from society and are incorporated with contemporary themes drawing from music, life and culture. Maxwell’s work has been shown at Brock University, Ben Navaee Gallery, private commissions and used in home staging.
